It finally happened! We are the proud parents of a beautiful newborn baby boy. We are currently on foster placement but will be fostering to adopt. We are praising God for this sweet little life and the priveledge we have to care for him.
I wish I could post a picture of him for you all but until he is legally ours we cannot post pictures on public forums. I can tell you that he is very precious, very cute, and very very sweet. :) He has dark hair and beautiful medium brown skin. His eyes will be brown but right now they are blueish.
His history puts our adoption of him at a very safe level but there is a slight chance that he would go back to his birth mother or relatives. Even if that happens, we will be grateful for the time we had with him and will love him as our own as long as we can. My selfishness wants for me to hope that he stays. But my eternal perspective hopes that his birth mother will be saved both physically and spiritually and be able to parent him. So, I sigh, and pray for God's will to be done. His plan is perfect and my work is not in vain when it is done in his name.
We are calling him Van. But when we adopt him we will change his name. His first name is set in stone but we are still working on the middle name. We really didn't have much time to prepare so we are in a bit of a daze. I was told about him one day and the very next day I got to pick him up from the hospital!
If you think of us, please pray. He still has some healing to do but on the whole he is healthy and happy and shouldn't have any major long term effects or problems. Please understand, I have to be limited in what I share with you all here.
Thank you all for your prayers thus far. I know that God hears and answers.
Praising God for the miracle of life,
Tiffany

We are so excited for you. I can't wait to see pictures and to hear how it's all going for you guys.
Hooray! You have a lot going on. I'm happy to be a family of 7 right now. But we would gladly welcome another. I hope the kids are enjoying this new little one and helping you. I hope you don't get sick, at least not too bad.
